                                           Phantasmal: Memories
In an unknown city, a boy named Lunacy was walking down the street looking in all directions as if touring the city.  Lunacy was this teenager with a large array of magical spells and abilities.  He was about six feet tall and had a long fluffy fox tail behind him, his hair was like this wild spiky anime hair and he wore common looking clothes.
A sudden pain and soreness spread throughout his body in an instant and he reeled into the dark alley nearby.  Trying to suppress the pain, but no good is done and a dark entity manifests itself behind him.  Dark Lunacy is revealed once again and immediately knocked Lunacy unconscious from behind.  Commonly referred to as Dark, he looks just like Lunacy, but with a thick dark aura or mist surrounding his body; he lacks the tail that Lunacy has.
"I've learned a little trick while I was sealed away, Lunacy," Dark noted. He continued to hold his hands above Lunacy, releasing some energy that was supposed to steal abilities or powers.  An odd popping sound echoed and the spell suddenly stopped as large flashes of varying colours shot into the sky from Lunacy's body.  Dark backed up looking surprised and angry, "Darn, the spell failed!" he complained.
The spectacular lightshow spread across the sky in all directions, clearly visible even in the middle of the day.  A crowd drew in quickly; Dark Lunacy was hiding in the rooftops above thinking to himself.  He flew off in one of the light's directions to explore and cause some chaos in the new world he's in.
Lunacy awoke in someone's bed at their home, "W-where am I?"
A girl with long brunette hair in casual clothing, about the same age, greeted Lunacy and explained, "I was around the alley when that light show went off.  I checked inside and saw you unconscious so I carried you back here for safety."
"Oh, uh, thanks I guess."  Lunacy thanked the unknown girl and asked, "Umm, what's your name by the way?  I'm, I can't remember my own name."
"Hmm?  You don't know your own name?  You must have amnesia; you must've hit your head on something in that dark alley.  Oh and my name's Mary!"  Mary answered quickly.  She also pointed out two glowing orbs on the table and said, "I found those next to you, I assumed they might be yours and grabbed them too."
"I've never seen anything likes these before, think they could be mine?" Lunacy asks.
"Well you do have amnesia." Mary reminded Lunacy.
Lunacy went up to check on the orbs, one red, and the other yellow.  He touched the yellow orb first, and on contact the orb dispersed and snaked its way up his arm and throughout his body,   Lunacy panicked, he didn't know what was happening, Mary was worried and the yellow energy disappeared around Lunacy.  "I, I'm Lunacy, my name's Lunacy, and I have to find someone." Lunacy said with his head tilted down.
"You got your memory back from that?" Mary questioned.
"No, just that, now what will I get from this red one."  Lunacy grabs the glowing red orb with the same effects that happened with the yellow one.  After the red energy disappeared Lunacy said, "I know how to fight," with a rising smile.  Mary asks what style he fights with.  Lunacy can't say for sure, but answers "Uhh, freestyle I guess?"
Mary asks about the fox tail Lunacy wears.  Lunacy says he has no idea about it, but it appears to be a part of his body.  They spend a couple minutes in conversation and Mary makes a snack for Lunacy.  After finishing it he thanks her and gets up towards the door.  "Well, thanks for the hospitality, but I should go out and find the rest of my memories."
"Wait, can I come too?" Mary pleaded.  "It's been really slow and boring recently, I usually help people around the city but it's like no one needs help with anything this summer."
Lunacy looked back.  "Okay I guess, but it might be dangerous, who knows where the rest of those orbs may be."  Both Lunacy and Mary walked out of the house and down the sidewalk.  As Lunacy walked down the street, he got this headache that seems to emanate from only one direction, as if trying to guide him to something.  After walking awhile the headache seemed more like a really powerful feeling, like he just has to follow its judgement.
The two come up around the city's bank, the entrance surrounded by cops and police cars, there was a robbery happening.  Lunacy's headache was in the direction of the bank.  Suddenly a couple thugs ran out, and the large one had another red orb.  The large thug held out his hand and one of the cop cars exploded in a destructive blast, throwing officers out from around it.  He then conjured some wall of flames to hide himself and his gang as they ran away from the scene.
Lunacy and Mary tried to help officers that looked injured, and got into conversation with the one in charge.  Lunacy wanted to help the police, since the gang had one of his orbs, as well as explaining that he can sense where his orbs are.  They could use that to find the thugs' hideout.  The officers huddled up for a decision on whether to trust Lunacy or not, he was just a kid, on the other hand teenagers have been capable of a lot these days.  Lunacy explained that it was his sense that lead him to the bank in the first place.  The officers came to a conclusion; they'll get reinforcements and have Lunacy guide them to the gang's hideout or at least to their boss, the one with the red orb.
After an hour or so, an armed force was ready to take down the thugs and end their crime spree once and for all.  The sense is faint from here, it lead Lunacy into multiple dead ends, but with the officers' knowledge of the city's map, they got around every turn until the sense was nearly pinpointed.  It then felt like it was on the exact location but underground, that's obvious for a hideout.  There had to be a secret entrance somewhere nearby, so every officer, Lunacy, and Mary, were searching for a hidden door, staircase, or elevators, scouring every wall at every inch.
Eventually, a pair of officers had found a turning wall with a spiraling staircase behind it, one ran back to tell everybody.  The officer that was in charge had called in a special stealth unit to explore the area ahead for confirmation.  Soon enough he had come back with positive results, there was a hideout down there, with dozens of thugs hanging around, but no security.  The entire police force got down the staircase as quietly as they could.  A few officers held Mary back; they didn't want a citizen being involved in the ensured chaos.
Once most of the troops got close enough to the doorway, they rushed out, trying to take the thugs by surprise.  Soon enough a huge battle broke out between the thugs and the officers, it was like a violent free-for-all in a bar, but the officers were armoured for battle.  Lunacy was rushing towards his orb, punching and kicking thugs out of the way, only to come up to a locked and sealed door.  Lunacy tried hard to open it, but it was no use.  One of the thugs snuck up behind Lunacy with a chair, but he was knocked away by another officer.  Some of the officers brought a couple explosive for just this kind of situation.  They prepped some bombs and blasted the door, surprisingly the door held.  Lunacy rushed and kicked the door; it came right off its hinges, causing a loud noise heard throughout the fighting as it hit the floor.
The boss and a couple loyal thugs were behind a desk, they were probably planning some more heists.  More officers ran in and took out the additional thugs.  Lunacy demanded a one on one fight for his red orb; they had exchanged a few petty words, simply delaying the fight.  The boss raised his hand, and a blast of fire came forth, Lunacy moved quickly and charged toward him.  Quickly enough a ring of fire blocked out everyone except Lunacy and the boss thug, the most Lunacy was doing was dodging and trying to get closer as the Boss threw all sorts of fire spells at him.  Fireballs, waves of fire, blasts and combustions, what else could come up, all the while he seems to be getting more and more exhausted, he couldn't keep casting forever.  Lunacy noticed this and kept trying to get closer to throw in a couple kicks.  The Boss wasn't so great at melee combat; Lunacy never failed his attacks from up close.
A quick kick to the face and the Boss was thrown back and all the fire had disappeared.  Lunacy stood over him in triumph.  The thought of being defeated by a mere kid enraged the Boss, he pulled out his gun and immediately fired towards Lunacy head.  Suddenly, everything felt tranquil and slow for Lunacy, as if time had stopped for a moment.  Lunacy wasn't going to wait and question it, he moved from the bullet's path and tossed a powerful punch toward the Boss' face, with time returning to normal the punch was still accelerated, hitting with a devastating force, knocking the Boss unconscious.
Lunacy took a couple breaths, resting from this difficult battle.  He reached for the orb and absorbed it like the other two.  Lunacy let the power and knowledge flow back into his body, it felt rejuvenating.  With this memory back, Lunacy could cast basic fire spells again!  He held a little ball of fire in his palm to observe it in awe.
Leaving the Boss's chamber, all the thugs were defeated with their bodies littered everywhere.  The police were treating each other's injuries.  After awhile, they were all packed into prison carriers and ready for transport.  The head officer brought Lunacy to the mayor's office for celebration for aiding in the apprehension of the criminals.
A chattering crowd in front of the mayor's structure, complete with news cameras of all sorts and news anchors.  Lunacy was called up to the mayor to be given a medal for aiding in resolving the city's largest problem.  Lunacy said to the crowd and cameras, "It wasn't much really, I was just trying to get something of mine back, and I wouldn't have been able to help if it wasn't for my friend Mary over there."  The mayor hands Lunacy a wrapped bag as another token of appreciation, Lunacy ignored it for now.  Raising his arms, with his regained power, Lunacy shot a plume of fire that lit the nearby darkening skies.  Everyone gazed upon the finale as it dissipated and Lunacy walked over towards Mary.  "Wow, this is going to take awhile, I guess.  We got back one orb in just one day, who knows how long this could take." Lunacy inquired.
Mary tried to comfort Lunacy, "Don't worry; we'll get them all back eventually.  There couldn't be that many could there?"
"Well, I did lose all of my memories, and these 3 orbs seem like so little." Lunacy replied quickly.
Mary cheered up again, "Well okay, let's head back home so we can get ready for tomorrow, we'll have a lot more time then." she said with a smile.
The two got back to Mary's home, and spend the rest of the night watching television and chatting; they got to watch themselves on the local news channel too.  Mary slept in her bedroom and Lunacy slept on her pull-out couch bed, which turned out to be comfortable enough.  In the morning they will search for more of Lunacy's memories.
Meanwhile, Dark Lunacy was sitting around in his dark chamber with a television he had stolen.  He had watched the city's award ceremony.  "He's lost his memory?  Heheheh, so that's what these orbs really are, well no matter, my legion will at least slow him down on his journey.  I'm not going to let this fun be short lived, especially with this powerful orb!"  Dark Lunacy cackled maniacally in a clichéd fashion.
